1. Eating

The food you eat could be harming your vision. Eat a diet that is rich in vitamins and minerals, drink plenty of water, and avoid foods that aren't good for you. Your diet should include plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. You should be drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water each day as well.

2. Working

Depending on the type of work you do each day, your job could be harming your vision. If you work in an industrial workplace, be sure you are protecting your eyes and your vision by wearing the proper protective eyewear. Also be sure to wash out your eyes thoroughly if you get something in your eyes. If you work at a desk, your vision could also worsen by staring at a computer screen all day long or even from the glare of a window on your screen. Your workplace may be harming your vision, but with a few changes, you can help prevent further issues. Make screen adjustments, add a glare-reducing screen protector, and change your desk and your workspace to protect your vision.

3. Walking Outside

If you're outside no matter what time of the year, you should be protecting your eyes from the sun. If you're walking outside, or driving in your car, use sunglasses to shield your eyes and to prevent harmful rays from the sun from harming your vision and your eyes. Your sunglasses should say that they protect against UV-A and UV-B rays.

These are just a few of the daily activities that may be harming your eyes and your vision. If you suspect your vision is worsening, make an eye appointment with your optometrist. Be sure you are going to the eye doctor each year for a routine eye exam.
